A very happy anniversary to Miami’s acclaimed International Hispanic Theater Festival, which is celebrating its 25th year this summer. Presented by KAC winners Teatro Avante and the Arsht Center in partnership with American Airlines, the festival is taking place from July 7-August 1 with performances Wednesdays-Sundays at venues throughout Miami, Miami Beach and Key Biscayne. This year, for the first time in its history, the Festival is dedicating an entire season to Mexico, honoring & celebrating the country’s contribution to Hispanic culture. It has also been extended one week and added a two-day educational conference. All in, the Festival will include 14 subtitled Portuguese and Spanish language plays from eight countries: the US, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Spain, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Uruguay.
