“Rem Koolhaas: A Kind of Architect”

The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art hosts another inspiring documentary, “Rem Koolhaas: A Kind of Architect,” for its Architecture + Film series on Friday, June 21 at 6 p.m.  Produced in 2008, “A Kind of Architect” explores the sensational architect, Rem Koolhaas, and his visionary ideas. Koolhaas has created some of the most intriguing modern architecture around the world, including the Dutch Embassy in Berlin, the Seattle Library, the Casa da Musica concert hall in Portugal, and the Guggenheim Heritage Museum in Las Vegas.

Preceding the screening are an event reception, which begins at 6 p.m. and then a presentation by Charles Davis, Assistant Professor of History, Theory and Criticism in Architecture at UNC Charlotte. The film will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for non-members and $8 for members, while students can buy tickets for $5 with a valid school I.D.
