Lenelle Moïse

Lenelle Moïse returns to Books & Books Coral Gables this Friday, May 16th at 5 p.m. to read from her new book, Haiti Glass. Lenelle Moïse.

Haiti Glass reveals the story of a Haitian immigrant whose transition is anything but easy. Moïse grows up in the suburbs of Boston, but book covers a broad range of issues as she assimilates into this wondrously odd and brutal culture called America.

“Haiti Glass is a magnificent collection of poetry and prose,” writes author and MacArthur genius grant recipient Edwidge Danticat. “Part mantra, part lamentation, part prayer, this incredible book puts us wholly in the presence of an extraordinary and brave talent, whose voice will linger in your heart and mind long after you read the last word of this book.” Celebrates Moïse’s debut collection, Haiti Glass, this Friday, May 16th at Books & Books, 265 Aragon Ave., Coral Gables, 305-442-4408. Event is free and open to the public.
