“Romantic Endings” at the Bakehouse Art Complex

There’s nothing like a 10-course meal set to a montage of romantic endings, especially when chef Tanner Gill is behind the meals.

“Romantic Endings.”

Next Wednesday, August 27th at the Bakehouse Art Complex, Pioneer Winter and Indiefilmclub/Film Gate Miami Interactive Festival will present “Romantic Endings,” a film-inspired event that pairs 10 of the most memorable romantic death scenes with a food experience and contemporary dance performance.

Yes, romantic death scenes. As an interlude, Miami-based contemporary dancer and choreographer Marissa Nick will re-imagine “Swan Lake.” In Nick’s version, “Swan Lake’s Battle Royale,” the black swan and the golden swan fight to the death for love.

“Romantic Endings” launches the full season of trans-media events and workshops produced by Indiefilmclub/Film Gate Miami Interactive. Check out their full schedule of events here.

“Romantic Endings” will be presented on Wednesday, August 27 from 7 – 10 p.m. at the Bakehouse Art Complex, 561 N.W. 32nd St., Miami. For tickets to “Romantic Endings,” RSVP here.
