#6WordsMiami

This year the Miami Book Fair International (MBFI) is looking for six-word stories inspired by life in Miami. The genre is up to you: fiction, nonfiction, fantasy, romance. All you have to do is conjure up a story and submit it for the challenge.

#6WordsMiami.

My nonfiction #6WordsMiami story: “Concrete tunnel. Queer. Never dull. Locos.”

Here are more examples of #6WordsMiami stories that get to the point: “For sale: Baby Shoes. Never Worn.” “Strangers. Friends. Best Friends. Lovers. Strangers.” “Penniless weirdo. Struck lottery. Overnight genius.”

The folks at the MBFI will select winning stories to be read during the book fair. Your story may also be interpreted by a Miami photographer and published in a limited-edition postcard set.

The great thing about #6WordsMiami: you may submit an unlimited number of stories! English, Spanish, or Creole stories welcome.

Submit your #6WordsMiami story throught Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #6WordsMiami, or via email ([email protected]) by October 15th.
