Miami City Ballet welcomes new dancers

Miami City Ballet is 50 dancers strong for the 2014-2015 season, gracing the stage with eight new dancers on the company roster, including four 2014 graduates from MCB School. The School graduates joining the corps de ballet this year are Ellen Grocki from Damascus, Maryland; Alex Manning from State College, Pennsylvania; Émilien Rivoire from Lille, France; and Raechel Sparreo from Buffalo Grove, Illinois.

Also joining the company is the accomplished Staatsballett Berlin dancer Rainer Krenstetter who will join as a principal in November,and former Royal Swedish Ballet soloist Jordan-Elizabeth Long, joins as a soloist. New corps de ballet members are Samantha Galler, former principal with Alabama Ballet and Julian Duque, from Medellin, Colombia, comes to the company from Tulsa Ballet II.

Congrats are in order for, Nathalia Arja, a 2009 graduate of MCB School, who has been promoted to soloist and Leanna Rinaldi, a 2013 graduate, who has been promoted to corps de ballet.
