The arrival of spring highlights Macon’s gardens and architectural designs

Spring Stroll of Macon Houses & Gardens, May 1-3, 2015.

There’s plenty of beautiful architecture and landscapes in Macon. From the layout to the structures and the horticulture, the scenery around this town is so tranquil. The Spring Stroll of Macon Houses & Gardens affair is a creative way to show off the grandeur of Macon. The display of the flora and design is akin to visual art exhibitions in galleries.

Part of the ramble unveils the gardens of the Vineville neighborhood, which boasts dwellings from small bungalows to monstrous mansions. The Spring Stroll of Macon Houses & Gardens will also wander to the historic Hay House and some of the many downtown lofts. The stop at the Hay House will consist of a garden market and the second annual Florabrilliance show, where flower arrangements from various herbaceous makers will grace the foyer, hallways and rooms on the first floor of the Hay House.

The Spring Stroll of Macon Houses & Gardens takes place May 1 to May 3. The tours of the private gardens occur Friday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and from 1-5 on Sunday. The tours of the notable structures will take place on Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. through 8 p.m.
