To develop neighborhood based, communication focus centers to provide an on-line platform for sharing neighborhood concerns, social networking opportunities and charitable giving opportunities, overlooked by traditional media outlets.
Working in partnership with more than 25 public, private, governmental, educational and health-care organizations, this project will develop 11 communication focus centers strategically located throughout the city. Staffed by a technology officer and a communications officer, each center will utilize a portable backpack production system to produce NOWCastSA, studio quality video for live remote broadcasts on the web.
