Founded by the foundation and a local university, ConnectNetwork began as a way to build a community knowledge exchange that links residents information, ideas and other people for social action. Right now, more than 4,000 residents use it to share information and enhance communication across nonprofits, government and civic groups so that communities can address local challenges. This grant will help expand and institutionalize the network, so that computer link-ups will translate to in-person gatherings in the civic interest.
