This grant will help create The Light Box at Goldman Warehouse in Wynwood, a multidisciplinary office, performance and gallery space for a diverse group of arts organizations. The group will share everything from a theater and rehearsal area to conference rooms and office equipment. An advisory board of participating groups will make decisions about the space. Initially, the warehouse will include a performance space with seating for 100, a screening venue for 75, plus a gallery and communal office space. The Light Box will create an affordable and creative home for local organizations while striving to become a hub of activity for the Wynwood Arts District.
