To expose new audiences to great music, the University of Miami will create a community engagement program featuring its Henry Mancini Institute's multigenre orchestra.

The orchestra will bring its blend of stylistically diverse music to such community venues as Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, the Knight Concert Hall at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts and the U.M. Gusman Concert Hall. The program also will include two free community concerts featuring new works by U.M. Frost School of Music students, faculty and guest artists, and a dozen mixed-genre concerts at select public schools.
