The theme of the TED 2012 conference is “Full Spectrum.” Full Spectrum is a term that TED has adapted to mean the use of multiple formats and approaches to create the most powerful possible impact on an audience. Full Spectrum is an invitation for the TED community to think about perspective, about collaboration and innovation. It’s an opportunity to showcase connectivity, data collection and the idea eco-system. It acknowledges globalization through local discussion on how language helps us with our desire to understand. Full Spectrum is considering the sense of possibility that comes when we think about the different perspectives on a single story.
