For the BME Fund which will provide grants to black men in Detroit and Philadelphia who have shared their stories and are engaging others in strengthening their cities
Twenty men – teachers, businessmen, writers and pastors among them – have been named the 2012 winners of the BME Leadership Award, created to honor black men who step up to lead the community.
Together these men are engaging and reshaping Philadelphia and Detroit. With the award, the BME Challenge is providing $443,000 in funding to accelerate their work. Hear about the projects they are leading in the videos below.
