Knight Neighborhood Challenge in the College Hill Corridor

Knight Neighborhood Challenge

Historic MaconOver the past two years, Historic Macon Foundation has been involved in six projects in College Hill that were funded by the Knight Neighborhood Challenge, including the Façade Loan Program, Living History Map, the tree nursery and the agility course at the Dog Park.

The Knight Neighborhood Challenge is transforming College Hill by funding creative, transformational ideas like these. With three years and more than a million dollars remaining, the Knight Neighborhood Challenge is looking to fund the best ideas --- small and large --- that give College Hill a sense of place, spruce up its public spaces or enhance the arts and entertainment scene. The effort also aims to get people involved in College Hill through an array of civic and cultural projects.

Historic MaconThe Knight Neighborhood Challenge and College Hill need you and your ideas! Start thinking about your idea to improve College Hill, and consult the Master Plan for ideas. The process is easy.

Call the Community Foundation of Central Georgia at (478) 750-9338 to set up a meeting to talk through your idea and then fill out the online application here by December 31.

Historic Macon partnered with individuals in the community on some of these projects, and we would be happy to do it again to bring your idea to fruition.

We hope to see your idea featured at the next KNC grant awards event!
