Beverly Knight Olson has been a Knight Foundation trustee since 1987.

She serves on the Investment Committee.

A volunteer and board member for numerous civic and philanthropic groups, she served as board chair of the Macon Rescue Mission and is currently secretary; board member of the Mercer University Athletic Foundation and the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame. She volunteers with the American Red Cross in Macon and serves on the advisory board of the Boys & Girls Clubs/Central Georgia. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Macon. In addition, she is active in the Alzheimer’s Association, raising funds to support families facing this disease. She is active at First Presbyterian Church and sings in the choir.

She has served as a volunteer for Partners in Education, the American Cancer Society, United Way, American Heart Association and Habitat for Humanity and has spoken to the Institute for Charitable Giving (Chicago) and the National Society for Fund Raising Executives (Macon).

She is the daughter of James L. Knight.
