To celebrate the diverse work in art and culture that has been presented in the Banglatown neighborhood through a community-wide block party

For the past five years, Power House Productions has been working in Banglatown to establish unexpected spaces for presenting arts and culture, essentially turning vacant properties into places for public art installations, performances and programming. To mark the anniversary, Power House will host a year’s worth of programs and organize a community-wide block party with a focus. Working with artists at each of the project houses throughout the neighborhood — Play House, Sound House, Squash House, Jar House, Power House — events will highlight the diverse artists and disciplines the group has supported over the years and the effect on the community at large. Through the events, Power House hopes to celebrate the role of arts and culture in developing and inspiring neighborhoods and lay groundwork for what lies ahead.
