Set your DVR: PBS Fall Arts Festival

Arts television kicks up a notch this October as PBS launches its nine-part PBS Arts Fall Festival.  Sponsored by Knight Foundation, the Fall Festival explores the art scenes in the Blue Ridge Mountain, Chicago, Cleveland, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York, San Francisco and Seattle. Look for full-length performances, artist & performer profiles, behind-the-scenes documentaries and mini films. We’re particularly excited about “Miami City Ballet Dances Balanchine & Tharp.” The Festival will take viewers inside the Miami City Ballet to witness performances of Balanchine’s “Square Dance” and “Western Symphony” and Tharp’s “The Golden Section.” Another highlight to look out for – weekly video spotlights on Knight Arts Challenge winners.

The fun kicks off at 9pm on Oct 14 – set your DVR!

The PBS Arts Fall Festival debuts on Oct 14, 2011 at 9pm est. and will air Fridays through December.
