This weekend, Miami Book Fair International features a contingent of poets and writers from around the world, including Obama inauguration poet Richard Blanco, whose work never rests even after the final word is written.

The following three events are worth a visit, whether you’re a poetry lover or a newbie.

On Saturday, Nov. 23, at 3 p.m., James Allen Hall, Julie Marie Wade, Orlando Ricardo Menes and Jen Karetnick share new work. I’ve heard Julie Marie Wade read twice this year and I can’t stop going back to hear her work. Her debut poetry collection, “Postage Due,” plays on an eternal loop in my head. On Sunday, Nov. 24, at 2 p.m., Miami-based Cuban-born writer Manny Lopez shares excerpts from his new book “Room at the Top: A Gay Man’s Search for Prince Charming.” When I read Lopez’s book, I put it down after the first 10 pages to write. Candid and lucid, “Room at the Top” is essentially a meditation on that elusive and sometimes cruel quest to find one’s Prince Charming. To find the one, sometimes we have to kiss many, many toads. After Manny Lopez, head over to Silver of Stone’s “All That Glitters” event, which celebrates a new anthology packed with fierce writing by local and national writers, including  Nicholas Garnett, Fabienne Josaphat, Jan Becker, Andrea Askowitz (Lip Service) and M.
