The Verified Pixel Project proposes to build a service that will unify several popular existing verification tests in one workflow tool using original code and layered API calls. Samaruddin Stewart

Samaruddin Stewart: Samaruddin is a visual journalist who has researched image and metadata analysis at Stanford University as a John S. Knight Journalism Fellow and at the Center for International Media Ethics. He has presented about visual verification at Stanford, Google, and several journalism and technology conferences. Prior to his work in image analysis, he was a photography manager and editor at AOL News, Agence France-Presse and the Arizona Republic.

Sam Dubberley: Sam co-founded Eyewitness Media Hub with the mission of addressing the logistical, ethical and legal issues relating to the ownership, consent, safety and critical consumption of UGC and after carrying out research into the impact of UGC in newsrooms through a fellowship with the Tow Center for Digital Journalism at Columbia University. Prior to his fellowship, he ran the Eurovision News Exchange newsroom distributing audiovisual news content to over 75 public broadcasters worldwide.

Doug Arellanes: Doug is a co-founder of Sourcefabric, a non-profit institute that creates and implements specialized tools for news media organizations, both in developed and developing countries. As Director of Innovation, he leads the Citizen Desk project for Sourcefabric, as well as its donor-funded projects worldwide.
