To support a program that increases engagement and transparency in government by asking top developers and designers to become CFA fellows, giving a year of service in city governments, including two Knight communities
To implement Community PlanIT, an online tool that enables engagement in local community planning efforts, in four Knight communities: Detroit, Akron, San Jose and Philadelphia
To enable members of Knight communities to participate in the planning and development of public spaces through the use of the interactive game platform HUB2
To support the development of a digital platform for civic discourse
To connect people to the organizations, information and causes they care about so they can take action and connect with people of similar passions
To provide 5 Knight communities with an engagement program that develops civic leaders by involving citizens in projects to improve at least 14 neighborhood playgrounds
To fund the 2,000th KaBOOM! community-built playground at Imagine Southeast Public Charter School in Washington, D.C. in June 2011
To create an online knowledge network about community engagement practices and to connect people seeking to translate those ideas into action
